I have mixed feelings about this one. At the time, it was one of my “best” paintings. I still love it. However, it is a portrait of myself and a girlfriend that I don’t care to remember. The irony is that she is posing as a nurturing, mother-like figure, à la Madonna and Child. Yet, she was far from nurturing. She was one of the most self-centered people I have ever met. It was purchased by my friend Anna Mendoza.
