The Door to Love

This was a very fun project inspired by things I see in patterns. I am not sure if everyone experiences this or not. I like to think it is unique to artists. When I am somewhere lost in a stare, I very often see people, animals or some type of image inside the patterns of the object I am staring at. For example, the door to my art studio has a strong wood grain pattern on it. For years I have stared at it trying to figure out what it was that I was seeing. So I decided to use it as an inspiration for a painting and this is what came of it.
